Volunteer with us

Bringing Ahwatukee Together Since 1995

Volunteers are needed for this year’s Light Up Ahwatukee Holiday Festival and wouldn’t be possible without a community of support and supporters.

There are many ways to get involved and help! From set up, registration, wine pouring, 50/50 raffle and so much more.

Sign up below if you are interested in volunteering for our Fall event!

We are looking forward to seeing you this Saturday, November 23, 2024. Please review the information for your volunteer shift:

Arrive – Plan to arrive at the Desert Foothills Park 10 minutes before your shift begins.

Parking - Allow plenty of time to park, especially if your shift begins later in the day after the event is in full swing, as you may need to walk a bit. You may park in the dirt lot on the north side of the park, off Chandler Blvd and Marketplace, or on any neighborhood street. Please note that Marketplace will be closed south of the entrance to the dirt parking lot for the food trucks and Marketplace Vendors. If you have a handicapped parking placard, you may park in the paved lot east of the park (enter Marketplace off Desert Foothills Parkway, Marketplace is closed just past this entrance).

Check-In Location - The Volunteer Tent is near the Tennis/Pickleball courts. See YELLOW STAR in map attached.

Check-In Process - You will be checked in by the volunteers at the Pavilion and issued a Volunteer Vest and lanyard/name tag. It is IMPORTANT that you return these items to the Volunteer Tent at the end of your shift (we use these for both our events each year). You will then be directed to the appropriate area for your shift and provided with further instructions by one of our volunteers.

Photo ID – Anyone working in any of our Tavern areas (Wren & Wine Garden or Lush Lounge) or wishing to visit the Tavern after their shift will need to show an ID to the event staff at the tent near the Tavern entrance as it is a 21+ area.

What to Wear - Dress in layers to accommodate the weather and time of your shift. Fun Holiday attire is encouraged as long as you can get your volunteer vest over it (which must be worn during your shift and returned at the end of the shift). Wear comfortable shoes as most of the park is grass and has uneven surfaces. Gloves may be a good idea if you are working in the evening.

Food and Drinks - We are excited to partner with Zesty Zzeeks Pizza Ahwatukee this year. As a thank you for volunteering, you can pick up a coupon for a slice of pizza from Zzeeks at the Volunteer Tent upon the return of your yellow vest at the end of your volunteer shift. Bottled water and some snacks will also be available at the Volunteer Tent.

Community Service Hours - If you need documentation for your volunteer hours, please bring your log/form, and the volunteers at the Pavilion will sign you in and out so that you receive credit.

If you would like to confirm the activity and time you signed up for, you can check the Sign-Up Genius or sign up for another shift at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0449A4AD238-50522478-2024#/

If you need help during your shift, you can check in at the Volunteer Tent or look for one of our Crew Leaders/Board Members. We will be wearing orange vests during the event.

I will be onsite all day, so please say Hi, and have fun!

Thank you for helping us Light Up Ahwatukee!
